Obituary for Robert Joseph Murphy,D.D.S.

April 9, 1930-October 3, 2017 Robert Joseph Murphy was born in Chicago. He attended St. Basil, St. Ignatius High School and Marquette University. Robert became a dentist and served as a Captain in the Air Force during the Korean War. Along with time with family and friends, there were many things he enjoyed in life like cars, travel, chocolate, Pepsi, and food. His favorite was Thanksgiving dinner. Robert followed the White Sox, Bears, and Blackhawks. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Clara (Nerlinger), his son Christopher, and all of his siblings and their spouses: Mildred (Edward) Kwiatkowski, James (Joan) Murphy, and Peggy (Adolph) Bona. He was a loving father to Bob (Caroline), Terry, and Maria (Jim) Rybarczyk. There were three grandchildren he cherished: Kristina, Jimmy, and Bobby. He adored his granddogs, Redford and Bailey. Robert was survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and very dear friends. There are so many wonderful memories of Robert. He will be missed.
